A woman has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Ystradgynlais, police have confirmed. Dyfed-Powys Police said they were called to an address in the Pen y Bryn area of the town at around 1:55am on Tuesday, November 1.
They were responding to reports of a woman allegedly having been assaulted with a knife. The woman was taken to hospital with injuries which are not deemed to be life-threatening.
Police said two women, aged 42 and 44, had been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent in connection with the incident and that both remained in police custody. A large police presence remains in the area.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Dyfed-Powys Police was called to an address in Pen y Bryn, Ystradgynlais, to a report of a woman having been assaulted with a knife and sustained injuries at around 1.55am on Tuesday, November 1. The woman was taken to hospital. The injuries are not deemed life threatening.
"A 42-year-old woman and a 44-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent. Both remain in police custody. Officers are investigating the incident, with a large police presence in the area as enquiries continue.
