A woman was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and remains in a 'critical' condition after she and a 27-year-old man were mowed down by a Seat Ibiza on the evening of December 30.
Police have launched a probe into the crash which took place around 9.30pm on Gauze Street at the junction of Smithhills Street, in Paisley.
Paramedics are believed to have raced the 26-year-old woman to hospital while the man - who was also hit - was not taken for further treatment.

A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with road traffic offences following the crash but was later released pending further enquiries.
Sergeant Kenny Maleney of the Road Policing Unit said: “Enquiries are continuing into this crash and I would appeal for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police, to contact us. I am also keen to obtain any dashcam from that area around the time of the crash."
