Woman gets 'part of her CV' tattooed on leg to show boss how much she loves her job

Some people wake up every day and feel excited to go to work, while others find it much more of a struggle to make it through each shift. One woman gets so much enjoyment out of her job that she's gone as far as getting it permanently inked on her body.

Rachel Wallace, 39, has paid the ultimate tribute to her job as a dog groomer by having her a huge version of salon's logo tattooed on her leg. Rachel, who works at Four Paws Doggie Daycare and Pet Grooming, in Cheshire, has a running joke with her boss that she's not allowed to leave - and now she's got the perfect reason why.

The valued team member recently headed to TattSues studio in Oldham, where she had the Four Paws dog Boo and his bone inked on her left leg.

"It's a standing joke that I'm not allowed to go anywhere but this really proves I won't," Rachel told the Mirror.

"I guess now my leg is part of my CV! I'm covered in tattoos so it seemed only right to have Boo as well."

Rachel got her first tattoo when she was 29, a tribute to her dad on her right arm, and has had the tattoo bug ever since.

In her impressive collection of inkings is also a paw print tribute to her late Staffie Labrador cross Bonnie, and a paw in hand design in honour of her saluki Toffee.

"I absolutely love working with dogs as they don't have any bad in them. Even if they try to bite you it's only because they are scared," she said.

Rachel, who lives in Wythenshawe, Lancashire, previously ran her own dog grooming business then came to Four Paws to be part of a friendly team in 2018.

"Dog grooming is so creative too, and it's wonderful to be able to build trust with a nervous dog, and see their confidence grow," she added.

The dedicated tatt has impressed Rachel's boss Fern Gresty, who is amazed by her dedication to the job.

"Rachel is the most dedicated dog groomer and we are privileged that she works with us to pamper the dogs in Cheshire," Fern said.

"I am personally in awe of her dedication and so proud to know the business I created means as much to other people as to me!

"Rachel always had a job for life at Four Paws but now we are literally a part of her!"
