A man will face court following the death of a missing woman and his subsequent interstate arrest.
Authorities discovered the body of the 46-year-old woman at a five-acre property in Buccan, in the rural Queensland city of Logan, on Monday.
She was found during a welfare check, sparked by a missing persons report at 1am on Monday from her concerned family who had not seen the woman since 7pm on Saturday.
The report led police to the Buccan property, where one of her clients lived.
Acting Detective Inspector Justin Anderson said the woman's body was found "with injuries" around 2.30am.
The discovery triggered a search for her client, who was arrested 600km away in NSW on Monday night after a high speed police chase.
He was charged with police pursuit, driving dangerously and driving a motor vehicle while his licence was suspended.
No charges over the woman's death have been made.
The man was refused bail and is expected to face court in NSW on Tuesday and with detectives from Queensland expected to cross the border to speak to the man.
Earlier on Monday, Insp Anderson confirmed the homicide squad was assisting the investigation, while police wait for a post-mortem report.
"As with any of these investigations, a standard part would be to interview any person that's associated with the residence where this lady was found deceased," he told reporters.
He said a thorough search would occur at the property over coming days as police piece together the lead up to the death.
