Woman found dead at home in Newcastle after emergency services called to Kenton

A woman has sadly been found dead at a home in Newcastle, police have confirmed.

Shortly before 5.30pm on Sunday April 3, officers received a report of concern for the welfare of a woman on Kenton Lane. Emergency services including an ambulance attended the scene where they found a woman who had died.

A number of police vehicles and an ambulance were seen parked up on the street on Sunday afternoon.

The woman’s next of kin have been notified. Police do not believe the death to be suspicious and a report has been made for the coroner.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 5.30pm yesterday (Sunday), we received a report of concern for the welfare of a woman on Kenton Lane, Newcastle. Emergency services attended and found a woman who was sadly deceased.

"The woman’s next of kin have been notified. Police do not believe the death to be suspicious and a report has been made for the coroner.”
