Gender reveals are supposed to be a lovely moment between you as a couple, or your friends and family.
It means you all get to find out the gender of your baby at the same time, and create a heartwarming memory together.
Usually, parents-to-be do this with coloured-confetti canons, piñatas with coloured confetti inside or celebratory cakes – blue normally means a boy and pink generally means a girl. But it doesn't always go to plan.
One woman who filmed her gender reveal with her boyfriend hilariously forgot he wouldn't be able to see the colour – due to the fact that he is colour blind.
In the video, which was posted on TikTok, Jen Cowan, 23, showed her and her boyfriend Bailey popping a confetti cannon to reveal the colour pink – but while Jenna looked thrilled, her boyfriend looked confused.
The mum-to-be captioned the video: "Oops," and added: "Not me forgetting my boyf is colour blind during our gender reveal."
After popping the confetti cannon, Bailey looks at Jen, who is 25 weeks pregnant, and can be seen mouthing: "What is it?".
He then looks absolutely thrilled after finding out they are having a daughter.
TikTok users thought the gender reveal was hilarious, and it has now been seen by more than 2.5million people.
One person commented: "Bless him 'what is it'," to which Jen replied: "I know, I was thinking 'you alright hun', then it hit me."
Another said: "He looked so confused! Bless man. Congratulations," and Jen replied: "He was defo not on the same wavelength for a hot sec. Thank you lovely."
A third said: "The way you point at the confetti makes it look like you're thinking 'can you not see what it is'," and Jen replied: "I was thinking that, I was like 'it's a girl!?'. How are you confused?".
"I feel like that minute of not knowing then his face changing made this vid so much more beautiful," added another.
Jen and Bailey have joked about the video since it went viral, and they can't believe how much attention it's received.
The freelance website designer said: "Bailey is so used to being colourblind. He didn't even think about it and I completely forgot. When the confetti popped and he looked confused, I didn't understand at first, but then I remembered he was colour blind.
"Bailey is a very laid back person so I don't think he was too bothered about not seeing the pink confetti. We have both just laughed about it now.
"We were both sure I was having a boy, so I think I was more shocked about finding out we were having a baby girl in the gender reveal."
Sometimes gender reveals just don't go the way you plan. A gender reveal party where a mum was planning to set off a smoke bomb in front of her family quickly turned into chaos as the smoke engulfed the whole room.
In another gender reveal party fail, expectant parents arranged for Portsmouth's 560ft Spinnaker Tower to light up in pink or blue accordingly, in front of 100,000 people.
After the tower turned blue, the dad-to-be decided to propose to his partner, but they were then left feeling 'humiliated' after the tower then changed to pink, leading to confusion.
