Woman flips over a ‘Balenciaga’ bag and sees the serial number at a 35-degree angle. Her heart sinks and it cost $200 to find out the truth

TikTok creator @occultstylist who works in authenticating designer goods, said a customer recently brought in two Balenciaga City Bags for authentication, only for the items to reportedly turn out fake. She shared the story in a video that has gained 103,400 views and over 3,850 likes, saying the customer paid the required fees before the bags were examined.

She said in the video that she suspected something was wrong the moment she touched the bags, saying, “they legit felt like f–king cardboard.” When she asked the customer where the bags came from, the customer allegedly said, “oh, I got them from Japan,” and added, “I think I’m pretty confident they are” authentic, claiming to be a vintage reseller herself.
