Woman gets TV Licence criminal conviction after her house burned down

A woman has received a criminal conviction after she did not keep up with TV Licence payments when her house burned down.

The 42-year-old was confronted on her doorstep in early June by a TV Licensing agent, and realised payments towards the £174.50 annual fee had not been made.
