If your significant other is in pain, most would do anything to help ease their discomfort - and one husband did exactly that for his wife who was in agony with a blocked milk duck by breastfeeding from her clear to it.
TikToker Jennifer (@twodears) shared her experience about the time when her daughter was unable to feed on one of her breasts due to a clog that turned into mastitis - an infection in the breast tissue.
“There are some things in marriage and having babies that you just can’t prepare for, and this is one of them,” she explained and added how she had pain in her right breast, and fever before she got antibiotics to treat it.
After trying out different techniques such as salt baths and hot water towels and taking supplements to clear the clog, Jennifer added how there was a “pretty big knot” in her breast and “nothing was working.”
“So I found this article because I was just Googling and Googling, that said your partner should suck the clog out,” which is something Jennifer said “never in a million year would ever have considered” doing this.
“I mentioned it to my husband, I was like, ‘Do you wanna help me out?’”
“He was like, ‘I would do that for you. I might gag, I might throw up, but I will do that for you.’ So we did it.
“We got this bowl and put it to the side so he could spit it out, and I breastfed my husband,” Jennifer laughed. “Oh my God!”
“I feel like I have PTSD,” she added. “I feel like I can’t look you guys int the eye right now...”
She then recalled her husband’s reaction at having to breastfeed from her: “In the beginning he got a small taste of it and he was like, ‘This is actually really sweet’.
“But then at the end when he unclogged it, he was basically about to gag because it started flowing because the clog was gone, and that was enough. Enough!”
“I feel like we’re bonded for life,” she concluded.
Since sharing her and her husband’s experience, the TikToker’s video has been viewed 11.8m times, and received 1.6m likes.
While tens of thousands of people commented on the post and shared their thoughts.
One person joked: “As a father of 0, I have done this before.”
“Not all hero’s wear capes, some wear bibs,” another person said.
Someone else added: “Normalise this! There’s nothing wrong with this! Doing natural things can feel unnatural because we are so removed from our instincts.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, This is marriage. You go all the way for your spouse. That’s a heck of a story,” a fourth person commented.

Meanwhile, someone also wrote: “Ok and now it’s story time from his perspective.”
In a follow-up video, Jennifer gave the people what they wanted and got her husband to share his point of view on things.
“So I breastfed from my wife,” he said while the pair laughed. “And she was in a lot of pain, it was a different kind of experience, and I felt like I was sucking poison out of you, like when you have a snakebite.
“All I could think about was your pain and how she [the baby] wasn’t getting enough milk and I just wanted to take action on the problem and I did it.”
Jennifer then asked her husband to rate the taste of her breastmilk, to which he replied: “It was very good. I guess maybe I’d give it a 9.
“I mean, it was a 10 but I don’t want to admit it was a 10,” he explained.
