A curly-haired woman who got a fringe at the hairdressers was surprised when she was left looking just like Frodo Baggins from Lord of the Rings. Annie McElvein, 25, decided to take the plunge and get "bangs" - but she didn't anticipate ending up looking like the hobbit.
She was shocked when she washed her new hair and glanced in the mirror to see a stark resemblance to Frodo Baggins. Luckily, Annie is chuffed with the outcome as she "enjoys looking different" - and hopes to one day meet Frodo actor Elijah Wood.
Annie, an environmental science student, said: "I just thought it would be fun to have bangs and ended up looking like Frodo Baggins. I didn't ask to look like him, but I'm not upset about it. I'm a huge Lord Of The Rings fan, so when I noticed I was like 'hell yeah!'"
