There is nothing worse than patiently waiting for something you ordered online only for the delivery person to ruin it right before it gets to your door. This kind of thing happens more often than you’d think and one woman on TikTok felt this exact pain after the FedEx driver accidentally crushed her package underneath his van.
Eileen had been excitedly awaiting her HydroJug which, for those not in the know, is all the rage right now, it’s sort of like this year’s equivalent to the Stanley cups that everyone was so desperate to get their hands on last year. Anyways, the day of Eileen’s HydroJug delivery was supposed to be a big deal, she would finally get her hands on the trendy new beverage container everyone was hyping up.
So imagine how she probably felt when she saw the FedEx driver carelessly lob it out of the van as he passed her house. But it gets worse, Ring camera footage shows that package fall underneath the van and as the driver accelerates forwards the box gets crushed beneath the back wheel!
Being a delivery driver is a tough gig, it’s not for everyone, but the man could have at least stopped the van before leaving the package outside, (or better yet, taken it to the door and knocked to see if someone was in).
What happened to the HydroJug?
So did Eileen’s HydrJug survive the weight of a van running it over? Surprisingly it did, while a small dent near the bottom can be seen in another video posted by Eileen, it seems mostly fine and perfectly usable. If that isn’t a selling point for the HydroJug then I don’t know what is. One viewer even joked, “can hydro jug make phone cases next??” Another commented “Guess I’ll be getting a hydrojug. That’s impressive.”
Eileen even joked about waiting for the company to collab with her after all the free advertisement she’s given them.
Some viewers did suggest that Eileen report the damage and get another HydroJug sent out. Others shared their own bad experiences with delivery drivers not being careful with their packages, resulting in damage to the item or in some cases the buyer’s property. One person claimed that FedEx placed a 40lb box on the hood of their car resulting in scratches to the bonnet.
A few viewers advised against reporting the deliveryman as mistakes happen and it’s not worth getting him fired. Hopefully he won’t be so careless in the future.
