Woman distributed indecent images over WhatsApp then claimed it was 'role play'

A woman who distributed indecent images of children over WhatsApp has walked free from court.

Ketan Shende sent the vile pictures and videos to men in lewd chats, then claimed she had merely been engaged in "role play". She continued doing so even after the police had raided her home.

Liverpool Crown Court heard this afternoon, Wednesday, that Merseyside Police first visited her house on Gorsedale Road in Mossley Hill on March 22 last year as a result of information received by the force. Ian Criddle, prosecuting, described how officers seized a Samsung mobile phone on which they discovered 84 indecent images in category A - those graded as showing the most serious forms of abuse.
