A woman has sadly passed away from the injuries she sustained in a house fire.
The emergency services rushed to the fire in the Clonskeagh area of south Dublin in the early hours of Thursday morning. It is understood foul play is not suspected by the gardai at this time.
The woman was taken to St Vincent's Hospital where she later died from her injuries. There were no other injuries reported to gardai from the incident.

A spokeswoman said yesterday: "Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a fire at a residence in the Clonskeagh area of Dublin 14 in the early hours of this morning, Thursday, 3rd November 2022. A woman, aged in her 60s, was later taken to St Vincent's Hospital, where she is currently in a critical condition.
"No other injuries were reported. A technical examination of the scene is taking place today."
A spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade said firefighters entered the downstairs apartment around 2am, amid a well developed fire and rescued a woman from the property. She was subsequently rushed to hospital.
