A woman has died following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Nottingham, police have confirmed.
The collision happened on the A52 Derby Road between Priory Island and Bramcote Island, closing Priory Island westbound at its junction with Derby Road at around 3pm on November 1. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 3.30pm on Tuesday, November 1.
The driver, an 83-year-old woman, also received treatment at the scene and was taken to hospital but was sadly confirmed dead a short time later
The pedestrian, a teenage girl, received treatment at the scene and was taken to hospital after being struck by the car. She suffered serious injuries which she is currently receiving medical treatment for and remains in hospital.

The A52 was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. It was re-opened by 9pm.
Sergeant Craig Luckett, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Road Policing and Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “A woman sadly died in hospital following this tragic incident.
“Her family is aware and our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time. Specially-trained officers have been assigned to support them as they come to terms with this terrible loss.

“We would now like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any dash-cam footage or information. We urge you to get in touch with Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 462 of 1 November 2022.”
