A woman has died after her horse was spooked by a motorcyclist. The victim in her 50s from Melksham, Wiltshire, suffered serious injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Wiltshire Police say that they were alerted at around 3:40pm on Monday at Bollands Hill near Seend., Wilts. The woman's next of kin have been informed.
Both the motorcyclist and the horse suffered minor injuries - though no arrests have been made. Police are asking that any witnesses to the incident contact their serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 221.
