Comedian Ellie Gibson has spoken out about the growing risk of scams after stepping in when her father lost his life savings of £15,000 to a criminal.
Fortunately Ellie, part of the comedian parent duo Scummy Mummies, intervened and managed to get her parents the cash back.
Her mum, 76, is a retired writer and teacher, and her dad, 75 is an actor, and also works for Scummy Mummies as their roadie.
