When you are trying to make a house feel like a home, nailing the interior design is key. One artist who would likely agree has completely transformed his Airbnb rental using pictures, much to the amazement of a recent guest.
Taking to TikTok @chloeeleanorr revealed her surprise upon seeing the house, which she stayed in during a holiday to Mexico. In her video, it is easy to see why anyone walking inside the property for the first time could mistakenly believe it boasts a large garden. However, as she shows, the stunning vista is in fact nothing more than a large photo - one that covers the entirety of a wall.
And it turns out the creative design is one of several similar features in the house, which is listed as having no garden on Airbnb. The guest in question showed off the property's unusual layout in a video playfully captioned: "Things in my Mexican Airbnb that actually don't make any sense."
In the clip, she then films the garden picture, before showing several other spots around the home which have been decorated with large images. Examples include a spiral staircase portrayed on a wall, an image of a wine fridge that covers electrical wiring, and Greek statues pictured on "contact paper", as the guest dubbed it.
In response, viewers were quick to praise the "nice scenes", which many thought looked "legit."
"T he backyard paper looks real and nice asf," read one comment. And it turns out there's a reason the images looked so realistic, as the home's host also runs a printing business.
Speaking to The Mirror, the host revealed he runs a printing and design business and he uses his products, made from materials like vinyl and wallpaper, to make the home feel more comfortable.
Fortunately, his inventive design approach looks to be going down a treat with guests, including the holidaymaker behind the now-viral TikTok, who praised "the really good" property. It also has a 4.89 rating on Airbnb.
