DNA results have confirmed that the young Polish woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann is not the missing British girl.

Julia Wendell, who also goes by the names of Julia Faustyna or Julia Wandelt, made headlines across the globe after saying she could be Madeleine- thanks to similarities in their appearance.

The schoolgirl disappeared in 2007 at the age of three while on holiday with her family in Portugal. Detectives have since spent millions trying to figure out what happened to the little girl, reports the Daily Mirror.
