As the age-old saying goes, revenge is a dish best served cold. In what might be the most brutal interpretation of the phrase, one woman with a hunch that her boyfriend of five years was being unfaithful revealed his true colours by catching him out on live radio.
The anonymous girlfriend called into New Zealand presenter duo Sharyn and Jayden on their station The Edge to ask for help in her mission to find the truth. The show hosts used a cunning phone call trick to expose the cheating partner on air, with many listeners and subsequent Facebook users left appalled at the dramatic revelation.

After partaking in some some 'next level stalking', host Sharyn called the boyfriend in question with a fake name to ask if he'd be interesting in arranging a surprise birthday party for a colleague - who just so happened to be the 'other woman'.
During the awkward phone call, Sharyn pretended to be a friend of the woman's, named Virginia.
"We're organising a surprise party and I just need a bit of help with some stuff - like to invite some of her friends from work, because you guys work together right?" the host said.
After confirming that they are in fact colleagues, the boyfriend seemed keen to help out, and replied: "Ah yeah, you know, I could invite a few people around for her. Yeah it'll be an awesome day out."
Sharyn then continued with the elaborate tale by explaining the 'plan' to ask guests to meet at a specific location. In order to catch him out, the host then asked the man to take the woman on a date first.
"You guys could go for dinner somewhere nearby then bring her up at 8pm," she proposed, and he was more than happy to oblige.
Pushing the man to admit his dirty secret, Sharyn continued to press him on their relationship. She said: "Cause you guys are official now, like boyfriend/girlfriend, right? So it wouldn't be weird if you take her on a date."
Soon realising that something was off, the cheating partner beat around the bush by stumbling on his words, before finally admitting his guilt by saying: "'I guess you can say we are".
Those few words were all Sharyn needed to unleash a brutal takedown of the unfaithful bloke, as she blew her cover in the most dramatic way.
"When you ask her out on the date, will you put that in your calendar, and will you also put it in you girlfriend's calendar?" she asked in an awkward exchange.
She went even further by adding: "Just wondering if she (the girlfriend) likes to keep up with your other relationships".
In a desperate attempt to backtrack, the man clapped back by suggesting: "You might be thinking about a different person," but Sharyn soon retaliated, saying: "Really? Are you the one that [the other woman] works with?".
When the man had nowhere to turn, the set-up call ended with Sharyn saying "I'm so sorry" to the devastated girlfriend who was listening on the other line the whole time.
Choking back the tears, the girlfriend of five years said: "I knew that it probably was real but it's kind of f****d up when you hear it".
In a final act of solidarity, Sharyn insisted that the woman hadn't done anything wrong and that it was not her fault that the man had chosen to be unfaithful.
After clip of the fateful phone call got shared to Facebook, many people shared their shock in the comments.
Feeling incredibly sorry for the girlfriend, one commenter wrote: "Wow I felt so bad for her but you guys honestly did her a big favor [sic].
"Nobody deserves to get messed around with. She deserves so much better and someone who treats her right."
Another wrote: "That was awful to listen to!! Poor girl that guy sounds like an absolute tw*t!"
"Super sad for her. Hopefully she dropped him and is much happier now in an honest and loving relationship", added a third.
