Woman captures moment her baby bump 'dropped' during gym workout

A mum has stunned fitness fanatics after capturing the moment her baby bump 'dropped' during a gym workout.

The incredible video shows the woman performing a kettlebell workout before the surprise stops her in her tracks.

Filmed when she was 38 weeks pregnant, the clip is one the mum is sure to watch back for years to come.

Shared online by @weirdjaime, who has since welcomed a beautiful baby boy, people were stunned by the self-confessed 'fitness junky'.

Not only were viewers impressed by her dedication to her fitness, but they were amazed she caught the phenomenon on her camera.

According to the NHS website, this downward movement, which can happen when the baby's head moves down into the mum's pelvis, occurs during the last few weeks of pregnancy. Given this timespan, it is difficult to predict.

Yet, in a lucky twist, Jaime's camera was set up perfectly to record the moment.

Although that didn't mean she was any less surprised than other mums. She wrote that she 'nearly peed' herself after the baby dropped down midway through a workout set when explaining the video in her caption.

Her shock is also visible in the clip, in which she crouches on the floor and cradles her bump. Equally impressed were viewers, who awarded the video over 500,000 likes.

"That was really cool to see! You normally never catch them dropping lol," read one reply. "That’s so cool to see! Also, you’re kinda amazing," said another.

A third agreed: "The magic of a female body. Good on you for keeping on with staying healthy, it'll hopefully make labour easier!"

Meanwhile, another mum shared: "Um I'm 38 weeks and I successfully put socks on today. Go mama!"

Another commented: "Meanwhile I'm 35 weeks and can barely walk through the grocery store." In response, Jaime replied: "I have days like this too! It’s so wild how your energy can shift so much from one day to the next!!"
