A woman bravely fought back after a carjacker attacked her with a pair of scissors on a petrol station forecourt.
Pauline Garner, 58, was filling her tyres with air at the BP garage on Priory Road in Anfield when she was accosted by drug addict Matthew Sanderson. The robber stole her keys and clambered into the driver's seat of her car before attempting to drive away.
But the victim was able to pull him back out of the vehicle. It was at this moment she realised Sanderson was armed with the scissors.
