A woman biker was thrown off her motorcycle after a car allegedly hit her vehicle on Golf Course Road in Gurugram and drove away without stopping to help. The rider said the car's occupants had been chasing her group since the start of their ride and did not back off even after she asked them to keep some distance.
The rider, who goes by the name Sia and runs the Instagram page rebelwheels_sia_, was riding her Aprilia RS 457 with fellow bikers when the incident took place. She shared a video of the crash online, along with her account of what led up to it.
Car allegedly followed rider from the start
According to Sia, the men in the car appeared drunk and began behaving aggressively soon after her ride began. She said she asked them to maintain distance, but instead of doing so, the occupants told her to stop her bike. She continued riding ahead to keep the car from blocking her path, while a friend riding behind attempted to shield her from the vehicle.
Sia alleged the car kept pursuing her before the driver tried to cut in front of her motorcycle. In doing so, the vehicle struck her bike, throwing her onto the road and dragging the motorcycle a short distance. The driver did not stop to check on her and left the spot immediately. The entire sequence was captured on an action camera fitted on her bike.
Friend chased the car and confronted the driver
Sia said one of her friends chased the car after the crash and managed to catch up with it at a traffic signal. Her friend confronted the driver and told him the crash was his fault, but the driver reportedly denied responsibility and drove off again before further action could be taken.
