Woman airlifted to hospital with serious burns after gas bottle explosion

A WOMAN has suffered serious burns following a gas bottle explosion in a state forest, which led to her being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.

Emergency services received a call about 2pm on Saturday, November 9 to reports a gas bottle attached to a barbecue had exploded. The incident occurred west of Morisset; a NSW Ambulance spokesperson told the Newcastle Herald.
