Woman accused of stabbing ex-partner, dragging cop by the hair

A woman has been accused of stabbing her former partner before assaulting several police officers, including dragging one by her hair.

The 29-year-old woman is set to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Saturday over the serious family violence and assault police allegations.

It is said her and her former partner got into an argument at a home in Page late on Friday night, when she allegedly threatened to kill the man, struck him in the face several times and damaged his property.

According to police, the woman stabbed the man in the arm and chest when he tried to leave.

The accused woman was eventually arrested and her former partner was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

While in custody, it's also alleged she slapped a Protective Service Officer in the face, dragged that woman by the hair, and struck her repeatedly.

It is also said the accused stabber assaulted other officers who intervened.

The woman has been charged with intentional wounding, reckless threat to kill, and three counts of assaulting a frontline community service provider, among other allegations.
