Woman, 79, rushed to hospital after two-car crash on A82 near Bowling

A 79-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital after the two-car crash on the A82.

Police and paramedics descended on the scene on Great Western Road after receiving a report of a collision at around 3.20pm this afternoon. The woman is currently being examined as a precaution.

The first lane of the A82 remains closed and the second lane has reopened. Traffic Scotland warn drivers there is a 40-minute delay along the route with traffic tailing back on to the Erskine Bridge.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received report of a two-car crash on the A82 near Glenarbuck Lodge, Bowling, around 3.20pm on Wednesday, 27 April, 2022.

"A 79-year-old woman has been taken to hospital as a precaution and the vehicles have been recovered."

Traffic Scotland is advising drivers use an alternative route at the moment and allow extra time for their journeys due to the delays.
