A Stockport woman has died after collapsing at an alcoholic support group meeting.
Patricia McElroy, of Heaton Mersey, was rushed to Salford Royal Hospital following the incident on June 2, Bolton Coroners Court heard. The 50-year-old legal executive died a short time later.
Police coroner's officer Andrew Pickles told the court: "On June 2 2022, Patricia McElroy was admitted to Salford Royal Hospital because she collapsed at an alcoholic support group. After assessment medical staff discussed her condition with family and palliative care was commenced."

Dr Paul Ferris recorded 'acute on chronic subdural haemorrhage' due to 'alcohol related liver disease' as the cause of Patricia's death.
Senior Coroner Timothy Brennand asked Mr Pickles to get statements from Patricia's family, her GP, any alcohol addiction agencies that dealt with her, witnesses to her collapse and Salford Royal Hospital. Mr Brennand adjourned the inquest until September 28.
