A woman has been shot dead after beating a man in a basketball game.
Emergency services were called to the scene where they found 21-year-old Asia Womack lying in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
She was rushed to hospital but sadly later died.
The slaying has shocked the local community in Dallas, Texas, and left the girl's family reeling.
According to Andrea Womack, the victim's mum, Asia was killed after playing basketball at a local park.
Andrea said it started after Asia, who was a gifted player, beating a male friend in a light hearted game.
“That should be a friend of Asia’s. She ate with the man,” Andrea said. “She fed him, and he turned on her and viciously killed her.”
Her family have said it was a pickup game at the local park, playing against the man who shot her.
Pastor John Delley said: “You’re basically embarrassed because a woman beat you in basketball.”
The family have said the suspected shooter took his children and brother home and then came back to the park to shoot Asia five times.
