A young woman has been killed in a crash on the M62.
The M62 remains closed this morning nine hours after the crash between J5 for Roby to J6 for Tarbock Island. Police were called to the scene just after midnight following reports of a crash involving a grey Vauxhall Corsa and a silver Mercedes C180.
A man and a woman were taken to hospital but the 21-year-old woman, a passenger in the car, has died. The man received medical treatment which is not life-threatening, police said.
