The family of a "beautiful" young woman who was killed following a disturbance in Kirkby have said they are in "total disbelief".
Touching tributes have poured in for Courtney Boorne, 20, who was named by her family today. A fundraising page has been shared with the ECHO with the hopes of raising £5,000 as the family say they are "still trying to come to terms" with the tragic news.
Having already more than £100, it reads: "We are in total disbelief. Last night we got the worst news about the murder and still trying to come to terms with what’s happened, and due to it being on Christmas Eve it’s been very difficult for all of the family and would appreciate every penny you can donate."
