After a setback six days ago, Arsenal have missed an opportunity to get back on track in the Premier League title race as they were held to a draw by bottom side Wolves. The Gunners, who dropped points against Brentford last week, looked on course to pick up an important three points as they lead 2-0 on the hour mark thanks to goals from Bukayo Saka and Piero Hincapie.
However, Wolves fought back. Hugo Bueno halved the deficit with a superb curling finish before Tom Edozie, on his debut, equalised in stoppage time thus stopping Mikel Arteta's from opening up a seven point lead at the summit before Manchester City are next in action.
The home side, meanwhile, are on course to avoid the humiliation of having the lowest points tally in Premier League history and can ensure that unwanted record across a single season stays with Derby by picking up at least two more points from their remaining fixtures. Follow Wolves vs Arsenal back below with Standard Sport's dedicated match blog, featuring expert insight and analysis from Matt Verri at Molineux Stadium!

Wolves 1-2 Arsenal
21:53 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne90+2 min: Wolves fans not happy with Trossard as he goes down again. It’s not the best tackle from Bueno as he had no intention of playing the ball and ran straight into the Arsenal forward.
Wolves 1-2 Arsenal
21:51 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne90 min: Time-wasting by Arsenal? Certainly looks like it as Trossard looks at the referee and then goes to ground.
SIX minutes of stoppage time added on.
Matt Verri at Molineux
21:48 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneSomehow Arsenal find themselves going into the last few minutes with this still not comfortable. Title race is stressful enough without making a meal of the team with one Premier League win all season.
Wolves 1-2 Arsenal
21:44 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne83 min: Edozie is on for his Wolves debut, replacing Bellegarde.
Wolves 1-2 Arsenal
21:42 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne81 min: Jesus has not really had the desired impact since coming on. Hasn’t made the ball stick up front and concedes a needless free-kick to put Arsenal under pressure.
Wolves 1-2 Arsenal
21:38 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne77 min: Nasty clash of heads between Gabriel and Armstrong. Brave defending from the Arsenal captain who now needs a bit of treatment. He will also have to go off the pitch for 30 seconds once back on his feet.
Wolves 1-2 Arsenal
21:35 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne75 min: Not quite sure what that was from Trossard. If it’s a shot, it’s poor.
Wolves 1-2 Arsenal
21:33 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne72 min: Bit of concern for Arsenal as Saka is down receiving some treatment. Looks to be an issue with his knee, no chances being taken with the winger as Trossard is on in his place.

Wolves 1-2 Arsenal
21:29 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne68 min: Saka has gone out to the right with Eze now in the No10 position. Martinelli has a chance to restore Arsenal’s two-goal lead but is denied by Sa. Flag was up for offside anyway.
Wolves 1-2 Arsenal

21:23 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneWolves score with their first shot on target. How often this season have Arsenal been in control of a match and then allowed the opposition back into it?
GOAL! Wolves 1-2 Arsenal | Hugo Bueno ‘61
21:23 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne61 min: WOLVES SCORE!
Hugo Bueno brings Wolves back into the game with a superb finish.
Matt Verri at Molineux
21:20 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneNot sure why the linesman put the flag up about five minutes late, but the goal does stand. Some pass that by Gabriel to open up the defence and a lovely finish from Hincapie. His first Arsenal goal.
GOAL! Wolves 0-2 Arsenal | Piero Hincapie ‘57
21:18 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne57 min: GOAL STANDS!
Piero Hincapie has his first Arsenal goal as the offside flag was incorrectly raised.
Fine pass from Gabriel and a good finish from the defender.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
21:17 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne56 min: GOA...NOOOOO
Hincapie’s celebrations are cut short by an offside flag.
VAR will check this.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
21:16 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne55 min: Arsenal not at the races at the moment. Saliba has had to make a last ditch clearance and Raya has had to be alert to stop Andre’s effort sneaking in at his near post.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
21:14 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne53 min: Really good delivery from Bueno down the left, the cross is begging to be attacked but Tchatchoua fouls Hincapie at the back post and the attack is halted for an Arsenal free-kick.
However, Wolves manage to win the ball back quickly and Armstrong sends a shot just over the bar.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
21:12 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne51 min: Wolves lacking quality in the final third as Tchatchoua’s cross sails out of play without giving the Arsenal backline any issues.
Matt Verri at Molineux
21:09 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneIt's snowing, it's been an it's absolutely terrible match... and it's no real surprise that there are a few more empty seats at the start of this half. Fans not exactly rushing back out.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
21:08 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne47 min: That ongoing battle between Martinelli and Mosquera has resumed as the Wolves defender gets tight to the Arsenal forward and receives an accidental blow to the face for his troubles.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
21:07 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne46 min: No changes for either side at the break. Just wonder if Arteta has instructed his Arsenal players to up the tempo a little bit after letting Wolves back into the game towards the end of the first half.
KICK-OFF!

HALF-TIME
20:51 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThere goes the whistle, Arsenal lead at the break thanks to a fifth minute header from Bukayo Saka.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:50 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne45+4 min: Chance for Arsenal to break but Hincapie goes down in the box under a challenge from Andre. VAR to check for a penalty and confirmation comes that Gunners do not get the decision but Bueno is booked.
Matt Verri at Molineux
20:47 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne"We've had a shot" sing the Wolves fans after their first effort of the match. Finishing the half decently - really poor from Arsenal to allow this match to become a bit of a fight.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:47 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne47 min: Wolves’ best moment of the game comes in first half stoppage time as Bueno lays the ball off for Andre who sends an effort wide of Raya’s post.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:45 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne45 min: FIVE minutes of stoppage time.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:44 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne44 min: Arsenal win another corner after decent play from Saka and Timber down the right-hand side.
Just a second corner of the night for the Gunners so far, Saka to take...
It comes to nothing.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:42 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne41 min: Wolves creep forward but a tame cross Tchatchoua from sees that attack fizzle out before Gabriel, comfortably, deals with a long throw attempt. Saliba then deals with the next one.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:38 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne38 min: Wolves supporters’ appeal for a penalty falls on deaf ears.
Matt Verri at Molineux
20:36 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThis has almost been too easy for Arsenal. Wolves aren't pressuring them at all so the Gunners have all the time they want on the ball. Easy to fall into the pattern of knocking it around slowly without any purpose.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:36 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne36 min: An edge has developed to this game as Mosquera takes ball and man before having a few words with Martinelli.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:34 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne34 min: Arokodare, in a promising position to lead a Wolves counter attack, pulls up claiming to have been fouled by Gabriel but doesn’t get the decision and Madueke then heads wide from a Martinelli cross.
That would have been controversial had Arsenal scored.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:31 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne31 min: Hincapie does really well down Arsenal’s left, even drawing some cheers from the travelling supporters, puts in a decent cross but Wolves defend it well and Mosquera needs some attention.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:29 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne29 min: Arsenal have Wolves penned in here but can they grab the all-important second goal?
Matt Verri at Molineux
20:27 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneLoud applause from Arteta as Madueke's pressing completes the job of Arsenal dealing with that long throw from Wolves.
Bit of relief in that reaction from the Arsenal boss, after the trouble Brentford caused them from long throws.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:26 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne26 min: Arokodare vs Saliba could be interesting. A very different challenge for the Arsenal defender in comparison to Armstrong who started the game leading the line for Wolves.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:25 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne24 min: Gyokeres wins a corner for Arsenal which Saka struts over to take. His cross is met by Martinelli at the near post but the Brazilian flicks a header over the bar.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:23 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne23 min: Big scream from Saka as he is caught late by Bueno. Not a great deal in that.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:21 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne22 min: Here comes the Wolves change as Gomes makes way for Arokodare.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:21 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne21 min: Angel Gomes is down once again and needs another dose of treatment. The issue this time appears to be his lower back and Wolves boss Rob Edwards is readying a change.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:20 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne20 min: Sa called into action again as he rushes off his line to meet the ball before Martinelli can latch on to Madueke’s pass. Crucial interception there as the Arsenal forward would have been clean through.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:17 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne17 min: CHANCE!
Wolves all over the place as Madueke looks to pick out the far corner but Sa makes the save and then denies Martinelli turning home the rebound.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:15 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne14 min: Angel Gomes is back on for Wolves as Madueke’s deep cross intended for Gyokeres is collected by Sa but the hosts lose possession almost immediately before Martinelli loses out to Mosquera.
Matt Verri at Molineux
20:12 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneBall is not rolling very well on the pitch. Passes are holding up, surface has a lot of water on it. Rain swirling around the stadium is not helping matters.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:11 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne11 min: Wolves finding it hard to get out of their defensive third. Arsenal’s press has been good but sloppy passes from the hosts isn’t helping as Gomes is caught, accidentally, by Saka’s arm and requires treatment.
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
20:08 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne7 min: Wolves give the ball away in midfield, Rice picks up possession and drives forward but shoots wide.
Matt Verri at Molineux
20:06 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneConsider the Saka experiment a success. He has the freedom to drift into the box in those central positions and it's a cool finish once Rice's cross finds him.
GOAL! Wolves 0-1 Arsenal | Bukayo Saka ‘5
20:06 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne5 min: GOAL!
Bukayo Saka stoops to head Arsenal in front early on. Great cross from Declan Rice and the Arsenal No7 makes no mistake.
Wolves 0-0 Arsenal
20:02 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne2 min: Saka, as expected, is in the No10 role for Arsenal behind Gyokeres. Plenty of possession for the visitors so far but yet to mount a serious attack.
KICK-OFF!
20:00 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneAway we go in the Premier League.
Can Arsenal move seven points clear at the summit or will Wolves claim their second Premier League win of the season?
As it stands
19:58 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneArsenal begin the night four points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but will be desperate for a win to extend their lead to seven.
Wolves cannot move off the foot of the table even if they in tonight, but can move on to 12 points with a shock win which would mean avoiding an unwanted place in Premier League history.
Matt Verri at Molineux
19:57 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneHere we go then.
Arsenal have been really poor recently when they've played after Man City and had to respond.
Now they get the chance to make the most of this rearranged fixture and give themselves a buffer in the weeks ahead. Have to take it.
HERE WE GO!
19:56 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThe teams are out at Molineux.
Why Arsenal are playing Wolves in the Premier League today
19:55 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneArsenal have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table tonight.
The Gunners, who drew with Brentford in their last league outing, currently have a four-point advantage over Manchester City as this season’s title race heats up.
Arsenal travel to the division’s bottom side in Wolves on Wednesday night hoping to go seven points clear at the summit ahead of a north London derby showdown with bitter rivals Tottenham.
This match, however, is the only Premier League fixture taking place this midweek.

Last time at Molineux
19:50 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneRiccardo Calafiori, on the bench tonight, was Arsenal’s match-winner on their last visit to Molineux.
Both sides finished the game with ten-men, though Myles Lewis-Skelly’s red card was later overturned.

Wolves are also two games away from Wembley, but have been drawn against Liverpool in the fifth round.

18:40 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThe teams will be announced shortly!

Mikel Arteta reveals Arsenal investigation into recurring injury concern
18:35 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneMikel Arteta will review the Arsenal warm-ups after being forced into several last-minute changes ahead of matches, suggesting getting rid of them entirely could even be considered.
Four times this season the Gunners have suffered injury problems up ahead of kick-offs, including three in the last couple of months that have necessitated alterations to the lineups.
William Saliba came off after five minutes against Liverpool at Anfield in August after failing to shake off an ankle issue he picked up in the warm-up.
Riccardo Calafiori has since twice had to pull out of the starting lineup, including against Wigan in the FA Cup, while Bukayo Saka limped out of the warm-up ahead of the Leeds match last month.

Bukayo Saka wants to 'prove something' in new position at Arsenal
18:30 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneMikel Arteta says Bukayo Saka is relishing the challenge of playing as a No10 for Arsenal, as he ponders a more regular change of position.
Saka has been used almost exclusively as a right winger under Arteta, beyond a couple of midfield appearances after football returned following the pandemic.
But, after Riccardo Calafiori picked up an injury in the warm-up against Wigan on Sunday, Saka was brought into the starting line-up at the last minute.
He started in midfield alongside Eberechi Eze and impressed in his 45 minutes on the pitch, pushing the case for further opportunities in that position.

Arsenal fans left 'disappointed' after 2026-27 season ticket prices revealed
18:25 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThe price of Arsenal season tickets will rise for the fifth season in a row, leaving the club's supporters "disappointed".
Costs for a general admission season ticket will increase by an average of 3.9% for the 2026-27 campaign.
While prices were largely frozen between 2014 and 2022 by Arsenal, since then costs have risen season on season.
Arsenal want to maximise every possible revenue stream and the stadium costs have increased in recent years.
With the club pushing for major silverware domestically and in Europe, and ticket demand at an unprecedented level as a result, the decision has been made to again increase season ticket costs.

Saka signs
18:20 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneBukayo Saka has signed a new five-year contract which will make him Arsenal's best-paid player, writes Matt Verri.
The 24-year-old's existing deal was set to expire at the end of next season, but the club have been relaxed over that situation and were confident that an agreement would be reached.
Saka has now put pen to paper on a bumper new deal which will see him earn in excess of £300,000-a-week, Standard Sport understands.
The winger has committed his future through to 2031, in what is a huge boost for Arsenal heading into the final months of the season.

Predicted Arsenal XI
18:15 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneViktor Gyokeres has scored six goals in his last ten appearances and is likely to come in for Gabriel Jesus to lead the line.
Also, Mikel Arteta could opt to stick with Bukayo Saka out wide and give Eberechi Eze the nod at No10.
Eze was subbed off after only 45 minutes against Brentford last week, but enjoyed a confidence-boosting display in the win over Wigan with a couple of impressive assists.
Predicted Arsenal XI (4-2-3-1): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapie; Zubimendi, Rice; Saka, Eze, Trossard; Gyokeres.

Noni Madueke flying at Arsenal - and what it means for Bukayo Saka
18:10 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneNoni Madueke will have scanned the Premier League fixture list after arriving at Arsenal.
The two matches with former club Chelsea will have been noted. So too, perhaps, the date of his first north London derby.
Most other matches will have been passed over without much thought, but you would imagine the trip to Wolves got a second glance.
In a world of careful media training, it is not always easy to know exactly what footballers are thinking.

Today's settings
18:05 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneWolves have won just once in the Premier League this season - that came here at Molineux and it was against a London side in West Ham.
Arsenal, though, are unbeaten on this ground since February 2021 and have won the last nine games between the two sides.

Wolves vs Arsenal latest match odds

Draw: 7/2
Odds via Betfair (subject to change).
Head to head (h2h) history and results
17:55 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneArsenal have won on their last four trips to Molineux by an aggregate score of 6-0. The Gunners also won the reverse meeting between the two sides earlier in the season, courtesy of two own goals.
Wolves wins: 32
Arsenal wins: 67
Draws: 32

Score prediction
17:50 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThis can only go one way, especially if Arsenal have serious title ambitions.
How will Wolves fare? Will they show that same dogged determination that Brentford displayed?
If they don’t, it could be a tough evening for them.
Arsenal to win, 3-0
Arsenal team news
17:45 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneArsenal have been boosted by the fitness of Riccardo Calafiori for their trip to Wolves.
Martin Odegaard will miss the game at Molineux but Mikel Arteta hopes the Arsenal captain will be fit for Sunday’s north London derby at Tottenham.
Arteta has also confirmed Kai Havertz could return against Spurs, while Ben White is fit after feeling his hamstring against Wigan in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Wolves team news
17:40 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneWolves will be without Toti Gomes and Hee-Chan Hwang for Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Arsenal.
Toti has not featured for Wolves since the reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium shortly before Christmas because of a hamstring injury.
The club captain has missed the last 12 games in all competitions, but has returned to training in recent weeks and is targeting the Crystal Palace game at the weekend for his comeback.
Hwang, meanwhile, has sat out the goalless draw with Nottingham Forest and the FA Cup fourth round win over Grimsby with a calf issue sustained in the 3-1 loss to Chelsea at the beginning of the month.
