Former Sunderland loanee Dion Sanderson looks set to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer. The centre-half enjoyed a stellar loan spell with the Black Cats during the 2020-21 season and has gone on to amass over 100 senior appearances.
According to Birmingham Live, Wolves won’t demand an excessive fee for Sanderson, who has two years remaining on his contract at Molineux. Sunderland have reportedly kept close tabs on the defender and were keen on bringing him back to the Stadium of Light at the start of this season.
However, Sanderson opted to join Birmingham City, with boss John Eustace keen on keeping him at St. Andrews beyond the current campaign. The report claims his parent club are willing to work with the 23-year-old to ensure he lands the best move for him.
