Josh Smith has scored twice as Warrington moved joint top of Super League, despite a disjointed display in a 12-4 win over Hull FC.
Hull took an early lead on Friday (Saturday AEST) after some sloppy Wolves defending, Harvey Barron diving over in the corner for his third try of the season.
Warrington thought they had levelled the scores through Toby King, but his 100th career try was ruled out by the video ref for a double movement.
The hosts piled on the pressure early in the second half and were rewarded when Josh Smith flew over in the same corner as Barron, with Marc Sneyd's conversion edging them ahead.
Barron had a second try ruled out on review for obstruction and Smith scored his second at the death as the Wolves eked out a gritty victory.

"Let's just say it was a very strange game to be part of," Warrington coach Sam Burgess told Sky Sports.
"I knew it was going to be ugly, but I'm pleased with our defensive spirit."
Bradford secured their sixth win of the season with a 30-20 success over York.
The visitors went ahead after 20 cagey minutes when former Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma got over in the corner.
But the Bulls drew level after Ethan Ryan cleverly fed Jayden Nikorima for their first score.
York equalised at 8-8 when Cody Hunter's looping pass was taken by Nofoaluma for his second try.

Two more Dean penalties, either side of a converted Joey Mellor try, put Bradford in charge.
Nofoaluma completed a hat-trick, but further tries from Dean and Eribe Doro saw Bradford home before Liam Harris pulled one back.
Leigh benefited from a couple of contentious calls to beat Castleford 24-14 and boost their play-off push.
The Tigers were leading 8-0 after three minutes, but Leigh scored 18 unanswered points before halftime.
Just before the hour, George Lawler scored on his 100th appearance for the club and get Tigers back before Adam Cook's 66th-minute try eased the pressure on the visiting Leopards, who moved up to seventh.
