WNBL looks to add new team, increase ties with NBL

Queensland has emerged as the frontrunner in the next phase of WNBL expansion, with the revamped league eager to lock in its 10th team soon.

Tasmania are set to become the ninth WNBL club next season, after securing their licence in August, and a new Queensland outfit could also be ready to play in 2026.
