WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark has been facing a series of rough encounters on the court, with the latest incident involving a controversial foul by Chicago Sky guard Kennedy Carter. The foul, initially deemed a common foul during the game, has now been upgraded to a flagrant foul after a league review.

During a recent game between Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky, Carter delivered a shoulder check to Clark, causing the rookie guard to fall to the ground. Despite the physical nature of the play, no technical or flagrant foul was called by the referee at the time.

This incident is not an isolated one for Clark, as she has reportedly faced rough treatment in multiple games over the past month. The general manager of the Fever expressed frustration over the situation, calling for the WNBA to address what she described as 'unnecessary targeting actions' against the rookie.

Following the game, in which the Fever emerged victorious with a narrow 71-70 win over Chicago Sky, Carter declined to comment on the incident involving Clark.

The controversy surrounding Clark's treatment on the court has sparked debate among fans and officials alike, with calls for the league to take action to ensure player safety and fair play. The incident serves as a reminder of the physicality and intensity of professional basketball, highlighting the need for vigilant officiating and player protection.
