A woman who shared a racist rant against her Latino group by a white woman has hit back at claims that the footage was "deceptively edited".
TikTok user Jada Gallardo, shared the viral video which captured a woman's racially charged tirade against the group at a Colorado pool, at the Alta Green Mountain complex in Lakewood over the Fourth of July weekend.
Blair Featherman, 49, can be seen in footage shouting at a family for holding a "f***ing Mexican party by the pool".
A witness backed up Jada's assertion, saying the abuse went on for “hours”.
Jada claimed that she and her group were enjoying their time at the pool when Blair launched a verbal attack on them.
In the video, Blair can be heard using derogatory language, referring to the group as "trash," "f***ing low-class slime," and criticising their "f***ing Mexican party." She also remarked, "You're nasty, you smell."
Following the unsavoury incident, Blair claimed that the video had been deceptively edited. According to her, the group had criticised her first, calling her a "white bitch" and violently pulling her hair.
However, Jada strongly denied these allegations, asserting that the footage accurately depicted Blair's behaviour.
“She was screaming, ‘Low-class Mexicans!' A lot of people were getting mad.” she added.
Jada further explained that the confrontation began when Blair approached her and her boyfriend, questioning whether they lived in the Alta Green Mountain apartments.
Jada confirmed her residency, but Blair insisted on checking their key fob due to concerns about unauthorised entry. Witnesses backed up Jada's version of events.
Witness Melanie Rangel-Olmedo said: “[Blair] kept saying ‘trash.’ … " The abuse went on "for hours" and some members of Blair's group were apologetic about what happened, she added.
Blair denied that she was racist. She told the Daily Mail: “I have been trying to stay silent and not comment about this, but there are things the video doesn’t show."
“I’m not a racist,” she added. “It was deceptively edited and put together to tell a narrative that isn’t true.”
She admitted she should have kept calm but claimed the group were breaking complex rules by having too many guests there.
“I was already having a bad day,” she said. “But this was too much.”
The police were eventually called to the scene and escorted Blair away, but not before several hours of verbal assault had transpired As of now, no criminal charges have been filed in relation to the incident.
