Anyone who has visited this site for any amount of time knows we are not the ones who clamor for the Pittsburgh Steelers to sign every available free agent on the market. But in this case, we are willing to make an exception.
With the news that former Buffalo Bills punter Matt Araiza has been cleared of all charges and exonerated both criminally and civilly, Pittsburgh should at least bring him in for a workout.
Araiza was selected by the Bills in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft out of San Diego State University. He is known as “Punt God” after averaging 51.2 yards per punt his junior season.

It was a tragedy what Araiza went through that cost him nearly two seasons in the NFL. But his talent is undeniable and the Steelers are in desperate need of some consistency in the punting game. There is no harm in bringing him in for a workout and if he still has that big leg, might be just what this team needs.
