In reaction to the Boston Celtics‘ waiving forward Justin Champagnie, the team has the opportunity to fill two main roster spots along with a two-way slot.
Champagnie had been on a non-guaranteed deal, and it was apparent the Celtics didn’t see a long-term future with him. By releasing him early, they avoid any financial commitments.
With the roster spots now available, the Celtics have options. One regular spot will be filled with a standard contract, and perhaps the 15th spot could as well.
Who should Boston look to target with these spots? Will they use both of the open slots when they are so close to the second luxury tax apron?
