Wishaw school team up with supermarket to start breakfast club

Coltness High School have recently collaborated with Morrison’s who are kindly donating breakfast items in order for us to start a breakfast club in the school.

The school captains and staff recently helped out at Morrison’s Food Drive, collecting donations for the school’s breakfast club and local food banks.

School captain Max Johnson said: “I am proud to be able to help run a breakfast club in my school that will give pupils a happy start to the morning, and I appreciate everyone involved in making it happen.”

Fellow captain Emma MacNicol added: “I am delighted to be a part of the team implementing the school breakfast club.

"Pupils will benefit from a healthy breakfast that is needed to start their day.”

At breakfast club the school has 25 teachers who have very kindly volunteered to give up their time prior to the start of school or morning interval to help out.

After the October holiday, Coltness High senior students who are buddy’s will be coming along to help out as well, and this will give them the opportunity to check in with their assigned S1 pupil over a hot drink in the morning.
