Archaeologists have identified more than a dozen ancient canoes, seemingly left by Indigenous communities, in what has been described as a prehistoric parking lot along a Wisconsin lakeshore.
The Wisconsin Historical Society announced on Wednesday that 16 canoes have been mapped on the lakebed of Lake Mendota in Madison.
