Wireless Festival 2023 organisers issue ID warning to everyone going to Finsbury Park this weekend

Organisers of Wireless Festival 2023 have issued an ID warning to everyone heading to Finsbury Park for the long weekend of music. Over 50,000 people are expected to attend the festival each day, which starts on Friday, July 7 and ends on Sunday, July 9.

Warnings are already in place asking festival-goers not to take cars to the event and instead use public transport. But also included in Wireless' event information page, is a heads up from organisers who are urging attendees to take a certain item with them before flocking to north London.

Wireless is telling fans they must bring photo identification with them. If you look under 21, stewards may ask you to prove your age. If you're under 16 attending with a parent/guardian, they may ask them to prove they're an adult

A wireless spokesperson has said: "Children under 16 years old (aged 5 -15) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (18 or over) at all times and will need a full-price ticket. If you're 16 or older you can attend on your own, please bring ID with you."

While at the festival, only the following proof of age documents are accepted:

  • A Passport (Not a photocopy)
  • Driving Licence
  • A Proof of Age Card bearing a PASS hologram
  • A Ministry of Defence identity card
  • A National identity card issued by an EU member state

ID will need to be presented when the gates open, this will be 1.30pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday and Sunday. On all three days, performances will end at the 10.30pm curfew to limit noise disturbance to nearby residents.
