ITV bosses have lined up a huge Love Island twist ahead of the new series to ensure maximum drama.
The Casa Amor twist will see contestants move next door, instead of a separate property miles away from the main villa when the bombshell Islanders arrive. The new rumoured change means that contestants will be able to hear everything that goes on in the other villa.
Traditionally, either the girls or boys will be separated and sent to live in a different villa miles away from the main one, where all their partners have been left behind with a slew of singles looking for love. However, the next instalment of Love Island which will air in January in South Africa, is set to shake things up to cause more Casa Amor drama.
Usually taking place halfway through the series, Casa Amor always shakes things up and sends previously strong couples their separate ways. "Casa Amor's inhabitants have always been able to relax in the knowledge that the people they're coupled up with are miles away," claims the source.
"Well not any more," they told The Sun. "If there's any wild partying going on, the main villa may well be able to hear it."
They added: "This year, it really could be a case of having trouble with the neighbours as the bombshells try to crack couples apart."
This comes as new host Maya Jama, who is taking over from Laura Whitmore, has shared an update to fans ahead of the reality show start dating telling fans she’s "in shape and ready".
The TV presenter posted a snap to her Instagram Stories alongside her personal trainer in the gym on Sunday ahead of the return of the hit dating show. Maya is set to make her debut as the show returns to South Africa for the winter version for the first time in three years.
Winter Love Island last aired in 2020, where Scots star Paige Turley won alongside beau Finley Tapp.
