Winter Love Island is finally back after a two-year hiatus with a brand new cast of sexy singletons.
This year, the average age of the starting line-up of girls is higher at 24 in comparison to last year's average of 22. This is partly due to the youngest girl, Anna-May Robey, being 20 in comparison to Gemma Owen, who was 19 when she appeared on the show. There are also two 27 year olds, Tanyel and Olivia, stepping into the South African villa.
For the boys, the average age has gone down from last year's 24 to 23, with the youngest being 21 year old Haris while the oldest is 25 year old Ron Hall.
Here's the full line-up of this year's series...
Girls
Ellie Spence
Age: 25
From: Norwich
Job: Business Development Executive
Why would you say you’re single? I’m single because I fall in love really quick, but I fall out of it just as quickly. I could literally fall in love with a chair and then a week later be like, ‘Oh wait, no, that's a chair…’ I fall in love quickly because I build up a character of someone in my head and then they breathe in the wrong direction and I’m like, ‘Next!’
Olivia Hawkins
Age: 27
From: Brighton
Job: Ring girl and actress
Why Love Island and why now? I’m 27 and I’ve never been in a relationship so I feel like now I’m really ready to settle down and hopefully find the love of my life.
Tanyel Revan
Age: 26
From: North London
Job: Hair stylist
Why would you say you’re single? I’m single because I’m so fussy. When it comes to dating, I’ve had bad experiences but also good experiences, which have moulded me into who I am today.
Lana Jenkins
Age: 25
From: Luton
Job: Makeup artist
What’s your claim to fame? In my work as a makeup artist I’ve worked with lots of celebrities. Also, when I was 6-years-old I used to live in Spain and I was in an episode of Benidorm as an extra.
Anna-May Robey
Age: 20
From: Swansea
Job: Payroll administrator
Why Love Island and why now? I want a boyfriend, I want to find someone who makes me laugh. I’ve been single for quite a while, my mother is bugging me, she's like, ‘You need to find a boyfriend.’ I’m just excited to try something new and I think going on Love Island is a good way to meet someone.
Tanya Manhenga
Age: 22
From: Liverpool
Job: Student (biomedical science) and influencer
Why would you say you’re single? It might be trust issues. I don’t trust guys. Some want to get serious really quickly, but I don't trust them enough, it’s all about trust.
Boys
Tom Clare
Age: 23
From: Barnsley
Job: Semi-Pro Footballer
What gives you the ‘ick’? When someone’s stuck up. They can be a 10/10 but if they’re stuck up… another one for me is bad oral hygiene and a random one is ‘birthday make-up’ - you know when make-up is done professionally for an event and it’s just too much, like blue eyeshadow and stuff? Girls don’t need that.
Haris Namani
Age: 21
From: Doncaster
Job: TV salesman
Why Love Island and why now? I’ve never found love. I think this is the show that can help me. It’s the best opportunity for me to find the girl and find the right one. I’ve obviously not found the right one myself.
Shaq Muhammad
Age: 24
From: London
Job: Airport security officer
What gives you the ‘ick’? I don’t like rude people. It automatically puts me off. That and slang words - if you call me ‘bro’ I’m off, that’s a complete turn off, I can’t handle that.
Will Young
Age: 23
From: Buckinghamshire
Job: Farmer
What do you think you’ll bring to the Villa? Good energy, I’m a bit of a cheeky chappy, good vibes, good to be around.
Kai Fagan
Age: 24
From: Manchester
Job: Science and PE teacher
What’s your ‘elevator pitch’ for why someone should want to date you? I’m caring, loving and impulsive so I’m always fun to be around. I’m always busy, I’m never sitting still. If you like to be busy too, then you can be busy with me. I can’t remember the last time I sat in on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night.
Ron Hall
Age: 25
From: Essex
Job: Financial advisor
Tell us something not many people know about you? On meeting me, you’d never know I am blind in one eye. It was the result of a football injury when I was 8; I went in for a header and got kicked in the face. I’ve got two different coloured eyes, one blue and one green. It’s added to my character, there are so many people that are worse off than me. And if anything, losing something like that makes you realise that. It’s not hindered me in any shape or form. It’s a good conversation starter I must admit.
