The winners of the GloucestershireLive Business Awards 2022 have been revealed at a special ceremony at Cheltenham Racecourse.
The prestigious black-tie event, run in association with parent company Reach Plc and sister site GloucestershireLive, returned on Thursday evening (October 13) to recognise the achievements and resilience of the county’s business community.
BBC Points West television presenter Alex Lovell hosted the ceremony, which brought together some of the most successful companies - and their leaders - in Gloucestershire.
Attendees were also treated to a three-course dinner and entertainment from Universal Entertainments.
For nearly quarter of a century the GloucestershireLive Business Awards - supported in 2022 by returning headline sponsor Randall & Payne - has been recognising the county’s best businesses from across a wide range of industries.
This year, family-owned Leeway’s Packaging Services - a supplier of thermoformed plastic packaging - scooped Business of the Year, while former Western Daily Press editor and Business West director for Gloucestershire Ian Mean was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The awards’ charity partner for 2022 was the Hollie Gazzard Trust, which was set up following the murder of 20-year-old Hollie Gazzard in 2014 by her ex-partner. The charity was founded by her parents, Nick and Mandy, along with sister Chloe, and works to reduce domestic violence by delivering programmes on domestic abuse and promoting healthy relationships to schools and colleges.
Sarah Pullen, Reach Plc's commercial director of regionals, who addressed the event, said: "There’s something unique and special about the county of Gloucestershire. Whether you are living here as well as setting up business here - the warmth, the co-opetition, the collaboration and the imagination of businesses in Gloucestershire is outstanding."
