A brand new home with high-end finishes and a dedicated wine room hit the market for sale with Belle Property this week.

The property is listed with a guide of $1,595,000 to $1.65 million through selling agent Brendan King who took the house to market after it failed to sell with another agency.
Mr King said the property - in particular the wine room - had created a buzz on social media after it went live this week.
"That has been a real talking point," Mr King said.

"Instead of using that space as a study the owners converted it into a wine room, so it is completely set up and temperature quite well.
"There are provisions to put air conditioning to control the temperature if you were really serious about wine."
Positioned on 837 square metres, 71 Melrose Street is a newly built project by a local builder that was completed last year and designed to complement the character and charm of the village's original brick heritage homes.

Inside the home features open-plan living areas, four bathrooms, three bathrooms and a designer kitchen with high-end inclusions such as a Belling 1100mm cooker that retails for more than $10,000.
Other features include double-glazed windows, a stone fireplace and a master bedroom with ensuite and walk-in robe.
"It is not your standard build by any means, a lot of thought has gone into it," the agent said.

"It still has the character that is typical to Lorn but with all the modern finishes inside.
"The vendors are builders with their own company who specialise in top-end products and finishes.
"Their level of quality is high - the oven alone is worth over ten grand. They aren't standard finishes."
The home also incorporates verandahs off each bedroom and a large alfresco area with views across the surrounding acreages.

Homes in Lorn have become hot property with a spate of high-price sales in recent years, including a handful that have sold in excess of $2 million.
In August 2021, a residential record was set following the $2.5 million sale of a historic Georgian-style four-bedroom, two-bathroom on a 3,713 square metre block at 5 Roy Street.
It is one of three homes that has cracked the $2 million mark in Lorn.

Mr King said that 71 Melrose Street had undergone a price drop since it was previously on the market last year.
"It was on the market with another agency and they started at around the $2 million mark, I believe," he said.
"It wasn't at the right price at the right time but now coming in with that guide [$1,595,000 to $1.65 million], it's well and truly coming in to market value, if not a bit under.
"If you bought that block today and built on it, you wouldn't be able to get your money back."
The median house price in Lorn is $936,000, according to CoreLogic.
