Bristol is about to get a brand new open-air theatre. Located at the Windmill Hill City Farm, their new Garden Theatre will offer attendees a ‘relaxed, informal environment for the community to engage with a diverse live arts programme’.
It will have plenty of seating for everyone, with three tiers of curved spaces for attendees to choose from all circling the decked performance area made from bamboo.
There will be uplighting, 13A power supply, a sound screen, an aluminium beam that can be used for lighting or rigging and a sound booth. The space will be accessible for all, including wheelchair users.

Despite being near the centre of the city, the theatre will be surrounded by wildlife and trees that line the backdrop.
It's set to open in two weeks (May 18) and organisers are currently accepting enquiries from anyone who may be interested in holding a live arts event within the space, whether that be a collaboration or a direct hire, the aim is to provide a space for all kinds of live arts events.
A spokesperson wrote on Instagram: "Our new open-air theatre is taking shape. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates soon. Are you interested in finding out what we've got planned? Remember to sign up for our monthly newsletter."
Amassing hundreds of likes, fans wrote under the social media post saying they couldn't wait to attend. One person said: "It’s looking fantastic, I had a sneaky peek at lunchtime today".
