With the cost-of-living crisis placing financial strain on UK households, many families are looking at ways they can make a saving - especially when it comes to reducing energy consumption.
As a result, people are turning to money-saving kitchen appliances, including air fryers and slow cookers.
According to USwitch, slow cookers are among the kitchen’s most energy-efficient appliances, while Utilita has listed them as one of the best money saving tips this winter.
Research by the energy supplier has found that slow cookers cost roughly 16p a day to run, which is less than half the price of a gas or electric cooker.
While they take longer to cook a meal, they’re rated at as little as 200 watts, which is less than a tenth of some electric ovens.
And to help Mirror readers save money in the kitchen, we are giving you the chance to win one of five Morphy Richards slow cookers retailing at £65 each.
Whether you’re cooking for the whole family or just for yourself, simplify your weeknights with budget-friendly recipes that won't break the bank.
