Wimbledon 2023: Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur could make millions in sponsorships

Katie Boutler and boyfriend Alex de Minaur could capitalise on their Wimbledon success and rake in “seven-figure sponsorship deals,” experts said today.

The British number one made it through to the third round of the ladies' singles competition this year – making it her equal-best performance at the All England Club.

She then teamed up with her partner of two years de Minaur for a stint in the mixed doubles.

Analysts said it was now time for the couple to strike up lucrative sponsorship deals while the spotlight is on them.

Emily Austen – founder of Emerge, a PR agency specialising in brand building and personal publicity – said the couple’s off and on-court partnership would boost earning potential.

“Katie Boulter is a force as a solo player,” she said. “In terms of desirability, there’s one sure thing that will increase her earning potential, and that’s having a successful Australian tennis player as her boyfriend.

“Generally speaking, earning potential for sportsmen and women is directly proportional to their success in their chosen sport.

“More court time equals more pounds in the bank. Having moved their relationship onto the court by forming a mixed doubles partnership, the couple have piqued global interest, and as such, are likely to have multiple interested parties for ‘his and hers’ commercial partnerships,” she said.

Ms Austen said while they will already have partnerships for their tennis kit, if they think outside the box in terms of deals they could sign seven-figure packages while earning five-figure sums for social media posts.

“The potential for this dynamic duo will be in secondary categories – home, lifestyle, cosmetics and fashion.

“Large-scale face-of campaigns could yield seven figures for the pair, while social media posts and co-branded deals will look at five-figure multiples.”
