Perfect Days

German director Wim Wenders' latest film, 'Perfect Days,' has been making waves in the global box office, breaking records previously set by his own acclaimed works. Nominated for best international feature film at the Oscars, 'Perfect Days' has already raked in an impressive $24.3 million worldwide as of Feb. 18, according to Comscore.

Wenders' past films have also seen success, with 'Paris, Texas' earning $2.26 million, 'Wings of Desire' bringing in $3.5 million, 'Pina' grossing $18.7 million, and 'Buena Vista Social Club' reaching $23.1 million, as reported by IMDb's Box Office Mojo.

'Perfect Days' made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival, where lead actor Koji Yakusho received the best actor prize for his role as a restroom cleaner in Tokyo. The film was sold to distributors worldwide by The Match Factory, and has been gradually released in various territories.

In the U.S., Neon released 'Perfect Days' on Feb. 7, accumulating $497,787 after its second weekend. The film opened in Germany on Dec. 21, earning 3.6 million Euros ($3.87 million) through DCM. In Italy, distributor Lucky Red closed the weekend with 5.07 million Euros ($5.46 million).

France, Spain, and Japan have also seen successful runs of the film, with earnings of 2.75 million Euros ($2.97 million), 1.2 million Euros ($1.29 million), and JPY 958 million ($6.3 million) respectively. Latin America, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, and several other countries have also contributed to the global box office success of 'Perfect Days.'

With upcoming releases scheduled in the U.K., Ireland, Greece, Hungary, Australia, and Taiwan, the film is set to continue its impressive performance in the international market.
