Arsenal continued their faultless October by winning their sixth straight game in the month, defeating PSV Eindhoven 1-0 in the Europa League. The Gunners qualified for the knockout stages of the competition with two group games to spare, as Granit Xhaka netted the only goal of the game at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta named a strong side for the visit of the Eredivisie side - highlighting his appetite to get the job done on the night. There were starts for the likes of Xhaka, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus in north London.
However, some key players received a much needed rest in a month where Arsenal play nine games in total. Defender William Saliba was one of those who didn't feature at the Emirates.

Even though he didn't get on the pitch, Saliba's agent, Niang Djibril, was at the stadium to watch Arsenal qualify for the Europa League knockout stages. Djibril of ND Sports Management posted on his Instagram story that he was watching the match at the Emirates - although the post has since been deleted.
Arsenal fans will be hoping that during his visit to north London, Djibril, Saliba, and those at the club sat down to discuss the Frenchman's contract situation. Saliba's current deal runs until the summer of 2024 - though football.london understands that the club hold an option of an extra year on his contract.
Mikel Arteta is confident that the 21-year-old will put pen to paper on a new deal. "If I look at how he talks about the club and how much he wants to be here, I have no doubts that he wants to continue to be here," said Arteta.
