William 'gutted' for England as he sends consoling message to 'Gareth, Harry and squad'

The Prince of Wales has sent a supportive message to England's players and manager Gareth Southgate as the team crash out of the World Cup.

England suffered another World Cup penalty heartbreak as Harry Kane's spot-kick miss saw the Three Lions defeated 2-1 by France in their quarter-final tie on Saturday.

In a consoling message on Twitter, Prince William wrote: "Gareth, Harry and the whole @england squad and staff, gutted for all of you. You put so much into this tournament and we are all so proud of you.
